Hex Advisory Group, a benchmarking and consulting firm of about 25 people in Gurugam, moved its attendance, leave, payroll, and reimbursements from separate Excel sheets into Juntrax HRMS. The team onboarded in December 2025, ran both processes side by side for one to two weeks, and went fully live in the first week of January 2026. Payroll now draws on approved leave records, so nobody collects balances by hand before a pay run.

The Challenge: Payroll Waited on Manual Leave Checks
As Hex grew, a wave of new team members came on board. However, HR still ran entirely by hand. Attendance, leave, and payroll inputs lived in separate Excel sheets, so someone had to stitch them together every month.
Payroll could not start until that work was done. First, the team collected leave balances and sent them across for validation. Next, they confirmed who had been on leave, whether each absence had been applied for, and whether it was recorded in Excel. Attendance and leave counts sat in different places, and they rarely matched at month-end.
Each mismatch created more work. It fed into a loss-of-pay (LOP) calculation that had to be checked with the employee concerned, one person at a time. As a result, a routine pay cycle depended on follow-ups across the team.
The gaps went beyond payroll. As a young, growing team, Hex had no structured system for onboarding, employee records, or approvals. Leadership wanted HR operations to run on a proper system rather than on spreadsheets and follow-ups.
Why Hex Chose Juntrax
Hex’s leadership reviewed the Juntrax demo, then went through the recording together before deciding.
In the end, three factors made the case:
- Ease of use. A team moving off Excel needed a tool employees could pick up without heavy training.
- One connected system. Attendance, leave, payroll, and reimbursements share one record, so payroll draws on the same data employees enter.
- A responsive team. Hex wanted a partner that would listen to suggestions and adapt as its own processes took shape.
The Rollout: Live in the First Week of January
Hex timed the switch around two things. Many new joiners were coming on board, so working habits were still forming. In addition, the calendar year-end leave reset gave the firm a clean starting point for balances.
- Evaluation: leadership reviewed the demo and its recording together.
- Onboarding: Hex set up the system with the Juntrax team in December 2025.
- Parallel run: Juntrax ran alongside the old process for one to two weeks.
- Full go-live: the first week of January 2026, in sync with the leave reset.
Every employee was onboarded into a single set of records. Today, one internal admin manages the whole setup.
“Payroll is now simple and quick. Earlier, leave balances had to be collected, checked against Excel and reconciled before payroll could even begin, and every mismatch meant cross-checking LOPs with employees. Today that process is efficient and takes much less time.”

The Results: Before and After Juntrax
Payroll at Hex no longer waits on a manual leave check, and all core HR now runs on one platform. Each result below compares the old workflow with the new one.
| Area | Before Juntrax | With Juntrax |
| Payroll prep | Leave balances collected and validated by hand every month | Leave data flows straight into payroll, with 0 manual collation |
| LOP checks | Every mismatch cross-checked with each employee, one at a time | Payroll works from approved leave records |
| Attendance | Separate Excel sheets that rarely matched leave counts at month end | 1 attendance record in Juntrax |
| Leave | Applications and records kept in different places | Applied, approved, and tracked online, with balances always current |
| HR process | No structured system for onboarding, records, or approvals | Defined workflows from day one, run by 1 internal admin |
The biggest change sits in the pay cycle. Previously, leave had to be reconciled before payroll could begin. Now the pay run draws on the same approved leave and attendance data that employees enter, so the LOP cross-checks that followed every mismatch have gone. Reimbursement claims also run through the platform, which puts every core HR task in one place.
